The Grade

Discovering Inspiration at Every Step

When wood is lumbered, it is classified into four appearance categories, commonly known as 'grades.'

These grades do not indicate the wood’s quality but rather its visual characteristics.

The available grades for wood flooring are Prime, Select, Nature, and Rustic.

Rustic Grade

Discovering Inspiration at Every Step

Rustic grade remains a popular choice for engineered wood flooring for several reasons. Its visual charm, affordability, and distinct character make it especially appealing.

Featuring healthy, unrestricted knots, mineral streaks, and rich color variations, rustic grade brings a natural, rustic beauty to any space. These unique characteristics create a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it an excellent option for those looking to add a cozy, organic touch to their interiors.

Nature Grade

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Traditionally, nature grade flooring features live knots around 30mm in diameter, often filled with wood filler, with a limited number of knots per board.

This grade typically allows for sapwood and natural color variations, adding to its character. Unlike prime grade, which emphasizes a more uniform appearance, nature grade highlights the wood's natural beauty, offering a warm and inviting aesthetic that is both distinctive and visually appealing.
